Trek & Tasting: Immersion in Berber Dahar

Day 1: Djerba – Matmata – Tamezret – Zeraoua

• Departure by 4×4 at 7:30 AM from your accommodation in Djerba

• Arrival in Matmata, visit of the famous troglodyte homes

• Start of the hike toward Tamezret, then on to the small Amazigh village of Zeraoua

• Cooking workshop: traditional woodfire couscous with the women of the village

• Dinner and overnight stay at Dar Ayed in Tamezret

• Hike: ~10 km – Elevation: moderate

Day 2: Zeraoua – Ksar Hallouf – Zammour

• Morning hike to Ksar Hallouf, visit of the fortified granaries

• Outdoor lunch with local specialties

• Arrival in Zammour, warm welcome by the locals

• Cooking workshop: traditional tabouna bread and chakchouka prepared with local olive oil

• Overnight stay in a troglodyte home – Dar Ennaim in Zammour

• Hike: ~12 km – Elevation: moderate to challenging

Day 3: Zammour – Chenini – Return to Djerba

• Hike to Chenini, a hilltop village with panoramic views

• Guided visit of the village and tea break with local residents

• Cooking workshop: preparation of a traditional Berber dish + lunch

• Return transfer by 4×4 to Djerba (arrival late afternoon)

• Hike: ~10 km – Elevation: light to moderate
