Discovering Djerba: A Cultural Journey

Start your tour with a visit to the Roman city of Meninx, followed by a photo stop at La Chaussée Romaine, the road connecting Djerba to the mainland. Continue to Guellala, a Berber village, to explore a traditional pottery workshop and the Djerbian Arts and Life Museum. Cross Berber villages to reach El Ghriba, Africa’s oldest Jewish synagogue, then head to Houmt Souk, Djerba’s capital, where you’ll visit the colorful market, covered souk, and a weaving workshop with a tea demonstration. Enjoy a typical lunch at Essofra before exploring the Marina, Mahboubine village, and traditional Menzels. End the tour with a visit to an underground fortress mosque before returning to the hotel.
