Circuit 1000 Stars in south Tunisia

Day 1:

• 8:00 AM: Departure from Djerba to Oued El Khil in a 4x4 vehicle with an ONTT-certified guide.
• 10:00 AM: Arrival at Oued El Khil, followed by a 2-hour hike to Ksar Hedada with a local guide from Oued El Khil, exploring unique landscapes.
• 12:00 PM: Arrival at Ksar Hedada, visit the Ksar, and discover the "Star Wars" filming locations.
• 1:00 PM: Enjoy a delicious lunch and discover the local cuisine.
• 2:00 PM: Departure for Douiret.
• 2:30 PM: Visit the Berber village of Chenini, offering stunning mountain views.
• 3:00 PM: Arrival at Douiret.
• Accommodation and overnight stay with half board.

Day 2:

• 9:00 AM: After breakfast, departure for Ksar Ghilane.
• 11:00 AM: Arrival at Ksar Ghilane.
  • Free time for swimming in the hot spring.
• 1:00 PM: Lunch at Ksar Ghilane.
  • After lunch, guests are offered traditional costumes.
• 2:00 PM: Meet with our team of camel handlers for a 2.5-hour trek through the dunes.
• 4:30 PM: Participate in setting up the campsite.
• 6:00 PM: Sunset.
• 7:00 PM: Demonstration of traditional sand bread preparation.
• 8:00 PM: Dinner around a campfire.
• 9:00 PM: Musical evening featuring traditional songs.

Day 3:

• 8:00 AM: After a delicious breakfast, continue the journey towards Douz across desert landscapes.
• 9:00 AM: Pause along the route with a desert orientation demonstration.
• 10:30 AM: Meet with bikes in Douz for a scenic ride to El Bey restaurant, passing through oases with a local guide.
• 12:00 PM: Lunch at El Bey restaurant, nestled in the heart of the oasis.
  • During lunch, enjoy a demonstration of the local specialty "gargoulette" with meat (camel, chicken, or lamb).
• 2:00 PM: Departure for Tozeur via the captivating Chott El Jerid salt flat.
• 4:00 PM: Carriage ride through the oases of Tozeur.
• 6:00 PM: Overnight stay with half board at Diar Abu Habibi in Tozeur.

Day 4:

• 7:00 AM: After breakfast, departure for Chebika.
• 8:00 AM: Guided tour of Chebika with a local guide (1 hour).
• 9:00 AM: Visit the Mides canyons.
• 10:00 AM: Visit Tamerza.
• 12:00 PM: Lunch at Les Cascades restaurant in Tamerza.
• 2:00 PM: Exciting visit to Ong Jemel, the iconic "Star Wars" site.
• 5:00 PM: Overnight stay with half board at Diar Abu Habibi in Tozeur.

Day 5:

* 08:30 – 10:00 | Visit to Eden Palm in Tozeur

• An immersive discovery of the world of the date palm and date cultivation.
• Explanation of harvesting techniques and date tasting.

* 10:00 – 12:30 | Drive to Tamezret (approximately 2h30)

• Journey through desert landscapes and rocky mountains.
• Exploration of the Berber village of Tamezret.

* 12:30 – 14:00 | Lunch at Dar Ayed

• Traditional Tunisian meal in an authentic setting.

* 14:00 – 15:00 | Drive to Matmata (approximately 30 min)

• Visit to the troglodyte houses, vertically carved into the rock.
• Opportunity to visit an inhabited house and interact with locals.

* 15:00 – 17:30 | Drive to Djerba with a stop in Toujane (approximately 2h30)

• Short break in Toujane, a Berber village perched in the mountains.
• Panoramic view of the ruins of the ksar and the chance to purchase local handicrafts.

* 17:30 – 19:00 | Drive to Djerba and arrival at Dar Nejma

• Check-in and relaxation at the guesthouse.
